After months of work the new ride is almost complete, after much deciding the frame and most of the parts are almost there with a barn fresh/rat rod and lacquer finish. Featuring great traditional sign writing from John Singh at Alpha signs. It will be used for my everyday ride and is easy to repair after daily abuse on the job. She rides great even with a load (Saucy Tart!). I'm having a rear wheel built as we speak, at a bespoke bike shop in Finsbury Park [Sargent & Co], thanks Rob. With three speeds, a vintage lamp and gear shift on there way this week.
I have put an old welding apron in the front basket and it now seems to stop scrap and shopping falling through, but may go back to a cherry wood deck prototype I was working on previously. She weighs in at 4 ton, which wasn't the idea being based on a 20s board track racer, still the old rust bucket keeps up with the traffic - shame she doesn't stop!
