Sorry to anyone who may have been following this [am crap at updating my page] but Bowser was finally finished in time for Clerkenwell Design Week, a great show. Well done to all at Media Ten especially Sam [thank you] it was an awesome show.
Bowser held up well to the elements and I was suprised he wasn't graffitied [shame] he can now be seen at the legendry framing company that is John Jones [Finsbury park], thank you for taking care of him for a few months and supporting me with the bike racks, my hat goes off to you.
The bike racks seemed to work fine although I'm not sure the public thought they were allowed to put there trusty steel camels on him. Am very happy with the finished result, the rusting looked, well, rusty and is getting better when I go to see him. Am still waiting for some photos of Tokyo bikes with their bikes on him all the way round. Included is a photo of some bloke on his phone for scale, a picture of the plaque which is to show dedication to my nephew Matthew [a CNC machined one was to be made but we ran out of time so I got the letter punches out] and a shot of bolt henge, the base being made. I am trying to put a short film of him together but as you know am useless on a computer so we will see.
Am also still waiting to find out where he will end up? Thank you to all who helped bring this steel beast to life we both appreciate it especially my young lady friend Lizzie who has fully supported me with this project. Am thinking that I need to think bigger and am looking for a grain silo? only joking.
Just finished in the studio, checking out the Evening Standard nice article on design week and a photo of TickTock, result.
A few photos of the racks and how the bikes could attach [needs some refining] but working. I will have to add some more hoops to lock the bike frame to, still need to work on heights of rack in the photos - is not in the right place on Bowsers body.

Thank you guys for helping me to lift Bowsers body onto his legs. I am so happy with the result, when his arms went on i wanted to hug him [hes very hugable and leaves you with nice rust marks on any thing your wearing].
It was good news to hear from the engineer, he said we should have no problems with the size of the base and should be quiet safe. I would like him to come and have a look before we take him to the site where he will be for Clerkenwell Design Week, as that could be a nightmare if i need to change anything. He is currently stood on just his to legs with no base and seems quiet stable. I am almost finished with the grinding of paint, and have a design for the racks sorted in my head but will have to wait for the steel sheet and bar to arrive before i can start on the base.
Am back to work tomorow so i only have one week of evenings and next weekend to finish him. keep tuned in...
